After working 8 years as an Engineering Officer aboard U.S. vessels, Mark decided that long absences at sea ran counter to his dream of one day having a family. In 2001, Mark went to work for A.G. Edwards & Sons as a Financial Consultant and received his securities registrations and insurance license. In 2005, Mark graduated from the University of Portland with an Executive Certificate in Financial Planning and is now a CFPTM - Certified Financial PlannerTM Professional.

Mark has a record of service both in his community and in the State of Oregon. As a champion for National Parks, Mark directly lobbied Congress to pass the Ice Age Floods National Geologic Trail Act which passed in 2009. The legislation creates a new unit of the National Park Service that crosses portions of Montana, Idaho, Washington and Oregon and will depict the fascinating story of the largest fresh water floods recorded in earth’s history.

Mark is a regular at MEBA meetings throughout the West Coast and meets with clients and family regularly throughout Oregon, California, Washington, Texas and Louisiana.
